Ge Tairan (b. 2000) graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor’s degree from the School of Humanities and a master’s from the School of Experimental Art and Sci-Tech Art. With a background in art history, she actively contributes to the field through her research on contemporary cultural conditions in Tibet, evident in her published independent zines and academic papers. Her recent works are concerned with the agencies and dilemmas faced by individuals in multicultural contexts. Employing pseudo-academic research, scenario reconstruction, and fictional identities, she crafts a dialogical experience that bewilders perception, resulting in a

series of narrative-based art making.

Tenzin Dhame (b. 1997) completed his undergraduate and master’s studies in Chinese painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. By integrating field research and fiction, he explores contemporary interpretations of original myths across various media, including painting, performance, and video. His artistic influences extend beyond the traditional thangka painting, incorporating narrative and visual cues from pre-modern painterly mediums and symbols worldwide, resulting in a distinctive and eclectic style.

As a collaborative duo, they are known for interdisciplinary and experimental practices that blend research with fiction to interrogate contemporary mythology and interethnic narratives. Their shared interest in cross-cultural and multispecies storytelling led to a 2024 nomination for the "E.A.T. Prize Annual Artist Award."
