Pocono Zhao Yu holds a DNAP and DNSAP diploma from École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris. Her art practices are primarily focused on transforming the "self-culture" into the perspective of "other cultures," juxtaposing them within deep temporal and spatial frameworks for contemplation. She translates these ideas through various mediums such as images, videos, installations, and writing. Drawing from her field trips and personal experiences, she reconstructs scenes using elements from semiotics, literature, and social sciences to present the flow of civilizations and cultural transformations on a global scale. A "new" narrator emerges from these explorations, questioning historical truths through the image of an "intruder," exploring and responding to the intricate connections between originals and replicas.
